The history and spirit of Los Angeles are alive in Bend Goods from inspiration to design. Bend is honored that two signature designs will become a part of the permanent collection at an LA institution, LACMA.
From the Mid-Century Modern movement to the free and easy lifestyle of indoor/outdoor living, the character and vitality of Southern California serve as a primary inspiration for Bend Goods’ founder, Gaurav Nanda. But Bend’s LA heritage doesn’t stop at design. Bend Goods products also support local artisans from powder coating to custom upholstery work. Bend is proud to be designed in LA.
That’s why we can’t think of a better home for our pieces than the Decorative Arts and Design collection at LACMA. When Bobbye Tigerman, curator for the Decorative Arts and Design collection at LACMA, reached out about adding pieces to their collection, Gaurav offered two of Bend’s most eye-catching designs. The Neon Lucy chair and The Electric Blue Cloud Bench both encapsulate the fun, bold, and beautiful character of California. These pieces will be added to LACMA following their current renovations, and we can’t wait to see them in their new home!
